I was the statistician for my high school basketball team and continued keeping stats for football and basketball at the University of North Alabama. I graduated from U.N.A. in 1989 and joined the retail management world with Parisian. I went back to school to pursue education after being a stay at home mom. I have been teaching for 12 years. I was a special education inclusion teacher at Cedar Ridge Middle School in Decatur, Alabama before moving to the self contained MR and Autism Unit at Cedar Ridge. After 2 years in the self contained unit I transferred to Austin High as a special education inclusion teacher. At Austin I was the academic coach for varsity football. After 5 years at Austin I made the move to Sparkman Nine as a general education teacher in history and biology. I am currently in my second year at S-9 and teaching World History.
